What is a Gatekeeper?
Gatekeepers at Logos Prep form an important team and play a significant role in the admissions process of Logos Prep. As a discipleship school, Logos Prep desires to partner with families who are like-minded in faith. Additionally, educators who wish to partner with parents must join forces with parents seeking this partnership. The University-Model® creates a unique learning environment foreign to many hoping to enroll their children at Logos Prep. Gatekeepers serve both the school and the family seeking admission by ensuring that the beliefs, goals, and lifestyle of the family will lead to success at school. Gatekeepers are wise and discerning, able to help spot danger for both Logos Prep and applying families. We are instruments of God, who seek to minister to each family that crosses our path whether or not they will become part of the Logos Prep community. Gatekeepers work to minister to every family they interview and help lead both them and the school staff toward positive admissions decisions.
With all of the adjustments that have needed to be made within the past year, how we, Logos Prep, handles our interviews of new students needed to be adjusted. The process below shows how we will partner with the Gatekeepers to make sure all potential students and families are given a great experience when looking into Logos Prep.
Interview Process:
Potential students & families will be assigned a gatekeeper and one staff member.
Gatekeeper and staff will figure out the schedule for all three parties to meet via Google Meet for an interview.
Interview will be conducted and hosted by either the gatekeeper or a staff member.
Upon completion of the interview, the gatekeeper and staff member will determine if the student is a good fit for the Logos Prep family or if there is a second interview needed. They will do this by filling out the gatekeeper form found HERE, by going to lpintervieweval.paperform.co, or by turning in their paperwork to the office as soon as possible.
If it is determined that a second interview is needed for the student or family, then you will need to follow the instructions of uploading your notes for our staff references. You can find instructions of how to do that HERE.
